Why Do We Use This Method?

Once we have a base port design developed, this is then scanned using the Rottler P69 5 axis CNC porting machine and then applied to each subsequent port. The benefit to this method is to apply perfect symmetry between each individual port ensuring balanced flow between each cylinder. Something that would not be ordinarily achieved by hand. This accuracy, consistency, productivity and repeat-ability is the key to CNC porting implementation.

This method is incredible when the application could be for a one make race series where there is the requirement for 40 plus cylinder heads to be ported identically within championship guidelines. Or simply for a singular head for a fast road or track day vehicle.
