FORD ZETEC 2.0 Litre 16V A kit car and competition car favourite. Powerful, light weight and durable, the ZETEC engine has seen service in many types of car. The Zetec engine is an excellent and fitting choice for many kit cars and Westfield/Caterham cars. It's dual overhead cam, 16-valve design offers a flat, responsive torque curve and excellent power tempered with reliability and smooth operation. This head responds well to gas flowing. We have achieved a 16.7% increase in peak inlet flow rate and 22.6% increase in peak exhaust flow. With suitable fueling, camshaft and exhaust modifications, this modified head will release the full potential of this engine with up to 247 BHP at 8200rpm and 215 BHp at 6400rpm. At this price, one of our heads represents real value for money especially when you consider the cost and inconsistent quality of gas flow modifications elsewhere. With our heads you know exactly what you are getting for your money and what the potential is for your engine. The light weight and the power potential of this engine with this head makes it a very competitive choice for any serious race or track day car. Remember, you can add any fueling or exhaust modification you like but ultimately the engine will always be restricted by the flow rate of the head. This head will release all the full potential of the engine and other modifications. Cost for this head is £750.00 + vat on an exchange basis. (£350 exchange). A 'taping' service is also available for this head at an additional cost of £100 which will give the final hand finish to the ports and provide a further 1% flow. Note : flow diagrams show flow against specific valve openings at 0.050 inch valve openings at 10" pressure. Therefore actual flow volume increase is measured as the area under the graph (indicated in yellow for inlet and blue for exhaust). Standard valve sizes are used on our heads unless specified as a big valve version. Tests shown here are carried out on a flow bench on a bare head without filters. Therefore the difference between a standard engine with standard inlet ducting and filters will be larger than shown here.
